Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to the following session
at the virtual 2020 Geological Society of America (GSA) meeting:
“Rocks from Space! Using Meteorites to Understand the Physical, Chemical,
and Mineralogical Evolution of Planetary Bodies”
This session will highlight the role that meteorites play in advancing our
understanding of the physical, chemical, and mineralogical evolution of
planetary bodies. We invite abstracts that implement a wide variety of
analytical techniques, from petrographic and mineralogical studies,
geochronology and isotopic analysis, and laboratory spectral studies. Our
invited speakers include Allan Treiman (LPI), Vicky Hamilton (SWRI), and
Myriam Telus (UCSC). We are committed to creating a diverse session; we
especially encourage abstract submissions from undergraduate and graduate
students who may not typically have the opportunity to present at national
meetings.
This year’s GSA meeting will take place online, from October 26th - 30th.
Oral presentation will be prerecorded and Q&A sessions will occur live.
Abstract submission is open until August 4th. To begin the abstract
submission process, search for topical session number T123 at the following

Thanks,
Session Conveners:
