Frantz L-1 Magnetic Separator (LB-1 Conversion)

Dear MSA community,
I am working to convert our Frantz L-1 Isodynamic laboratory separator into the LB-1 Barrier separator. I recognize that the S.G. Frantz company offers a conversion kit specifically designed for this purpose, but the cost of the conversion kit has become far too expensive to consider. That said, my department is seeking used LB-1 instruments that are no longer in use (or the conversion parts that are no longer needed) to help us update our instrument.

We are hoping to update the instrument in order to better integrate it into our mineralogy and petrology courses and our undergraduate research. If you have any used instruments or thoughts on how to obtain the necessary components, please let me know.

Regards,
Ken
