Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 10th International Workshop on Layered and Nanostructured Materials (IWLNM26). The event will take place in Mulhouse, a dynamic and culturally rich city in eastern France, close to both Germany and Switzerland.

This workshop continues the tradition established by its previous editions by bringing together a broad international community to advance the synthesis, characterization, functionalization, and applications of layered and nanostructured materials. It covers a wide range of compounds, including hydrotalcites, clays, metal phosphates and phosphonates, graphite, MXenes, as well as nanostructured materials such as silicates, zeolites, MOFs, transition‑metal oxides, and organic–inorganic hybrids.

This edition also highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in the design and discovery of new materials, reflecting the field’s evolution toward data‑driven and computationally assisted innovation.

The following renowned scientists from around the world have confirmed their participation as invited speakers :

  • Chiara Bisio, Department of Sciences and Technological Innovation, Università del Piemonte Orientale, Italy

  • Margarita Darder, Materials Science Institute of Madrid,  Spanish National Research Council (CSIC)., Spain

  • Christine Taviot Gueho, Institut de Chimie de Clermont Ferrand,  Université de Clermont-Auvergne, France

  • Jovana V. Milić, Department of Chemistry, University of Turku,Finland and Adolphe Merkle Institute, University of Fribourg, Switzerland

  • Jiří Čejka, Department of Physical and Macromolecular Chemistry; Faculty of Science Charles University, Czech Republic

  • Gian-Marco Rignanes, Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanosciences (IMCN), UC Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium

  •  Shunsuke Sasaki, Institut des Matériaux Jean Rouxel (IMN),Université de Nantes, France.

This anniversary edition is also committed to an eco‑responsible approach.

We look forward to welcoming you to this 10th edition, sharing recent advances, and fostering new connections across disciplines.
