Hello PIGs,
Some of you have remarked on getting spam that appears to come from the PIG mailing list.
Those messages were not generated from the MSA server that hosts the PIG subscription
list. The PIG email address you see in those emails is an alias that was likely picked up off of
a subscriber's email account or address book. Therefore, unsubscribing from the PIG mailing
list will not stop these spam or phishing emails from coming to your email.
If you received an email that instructed you to update your membership in PIG, that was from
an unauthorized source using the PIG mail address as an alia, not from the MSA. If you are
already subscribed to the PIG email directory, you do not need to resubmit a request for
membership. You will remain on the mailing list.
