Hey Folks,
We have an opening in our R&D Department for an experimental position in applied industrial research for a minerals and materials company, i.e., Sibelco. I am looking for someone with a background in chemistry, mineralogy, materials sciences, geochemistry, or chemical engineering. PhD is a plus but not mandatory. More important is an interest in experimental work and in making stuff, and in particular, something of value. This is not an instrument-based job, though we are pretty well equipped with characterization tools. Rather, the job is about developing, testing and implementing processes to produce high purity materials predominantly for electronics applications. Thus, we work at the bench conducting synthesis and process experiments, but also at the pilot scale where we test out our bench-scale concepts.
If you or someone you know is looking for an interesting job in a small group in one of the largest global industrial minerals companies, send me an email with your resume. You can also apply online, but might better to contact me directly.
Best regards,
Chris Capobianco
