The evening opens with a lecture by Elsie M. Sunderland on mercury contamination from illegal gold mining in Amazonian rivers, followed by a panel conversation with Ashley Alexis McFarlane (Omi Woods), Erich Adam Moreira Lima (Brazilian Federal Police), Pippa Small, and Greg Valerio (PeaceGold). A reception follows in the Earth & Planetary Sciences Gallery from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Advance registration is required.
