Hello, MSA!

Nominations for three IAMG awards are due on October 31, 2025

The Association invites all members to submit nominations for:

  • The Founders Scholarship
  • The John Cedric Griffiths Teaching Award
  • The William Christian Krumbein Medal.

Please note the Deadline: October 31, 2025.

For details about prerequisites for nominations, as well as a list of past
recipients and their laudations, please see the IAMG website (https://iamg
.org/awards-and-honours/).

Nomination materials:
• A short statement summarizing the relevant qualifications of the nominee
• A curriculum vitae of the nominee

Awards are not possible without nominations, so please support your
colleagues when you believe they deserve awards!

Nominations can be submitted by a single person or by a group. The
laudations written over the last few years and published in Mathematical
Geosciences are a good source of inspiration on how to write a nomination.

Nominations can be submitted via e-mail to me, the awards committee chair (
s.morrison@rutgers.edu).

Best,
Shaunna
