Zachary Sharp, University of New Mexico, has generously made available his textbook - Principles of Stable Isotope Geochemistry, 2nd Edition - as an open access publication available thru MSA’s Open Access Publications webpagehttp://www.minsocam.org/msa/openaccess_publications/.  It is available as the entire book or individual chapters.

Principles of Stable Isotope Geochemistry joins a number other open access publications there:

  • Guide to Thin Section Microscopy (in English, German, Spanish, or Portuguese)
  • Mineralogy and Optical Mineralogy Laboratory Manual
  • Teaching Mineralogy
  • Ore microscopy and ore petrography
  • Double Trouble: Navigating Birefringence
  • Quartz: a Bull’s Eye on Optical Activity
  • Metasomatism and Metasomatic Rocks (English translation of the Russian text.)
  • Mineralogical Society of America Special Papers 1, 2 and 3
  • Carbon in Earth
  • Pore-Scale Geochemical Processes
  • American Mineralogist, v1-84 (1916-1999)

——

MSA will host additional open access publications about mineralogy, crystallography, petrology, and geochemistry that it believes to be of interest to its membership. If you have a publication you would like to post on this site, please contact the MSA Business Officemailto:jaspeer@minsocam.org.
