We welcome theoretical, laboratory, field, or combined approaches to address emerging societal challenges related to the environment. The successful applicant will lead a vibrant, cutting-edge research program that can leverage the existing strengths of the Department of Geology & Geophysics, while expanding our reach into national and international-scale initiatives. The anticipated starting date is Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an independent and externally funded research program and contribute to transformative teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate will also conduct service activities in the Department, College and University, national and international professional communities, and participate in outreach activities.
