Dear colleagues, This is a followup on our previous announcement in 2023, that we (Guillaume Avice, Razvan Caracas, James Badro, Frédéric Moynier, Alessandro Morbidelli and Laurent Rémusat) are organising a workshop in Paris on 13-17 May 2024 (epoe2024.fr <https://epoe2024.fr/>) on planetary formation and evolution. The workshop intends to gather international experts to discuss key aspects of the formation and evolution of terrestrial planets as well as onsets of their habitability. We envision a wide range of contributions providing comprehensive and well-balanced overviews on these topics to shed light on the complex processes that shaped our planets. The program will span a diverse range of themes, from the modeling of terrestrial planet formation, the chronology of planet formation, and planetary differentiation, to insights into the role of giant impacts and isotopic signatures in understanding the origin of terrestrial planet materials. Comparative planetology, with a specific focus on Mars and Venus, will also be relevant, covering everything from internal structure, volcanism and tectonics to early habitability. Furthermore, the conference will host sessions about volatile budgets, extraterrestrial organic matter diversity and delivery to the early Earth, and pre-biotic chemistry. Finally, the event will include discussions on the evolution of planetary atmospheres and a forward-looking session on future missions and scientific outlook. You can now register online !
