Dear Colleagues,
The Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for two postdoctoral fellowship programs:
- EPS Excellence in Earth & Planetary Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowship
- UTIG Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship
Applications are open to recent doctorates (within the past 5 years) in Earth, atmospheric, oceanic, cryospheric, planetary sciences, or allied fields. Appointments are for two years, contingent upon performance. For full consideration, applications must be received by January 15, 2026.
Prior to applying, prospective applicants are expected to identify and contact potential collaborators and mentors in the Department of Earth and Planetary Science (EPS) and the Institute for Geophysics (UTIG) to discuss research interests and explore opportunities for collaboration. Fellows will join a vibrant community of postdocs, students, and faculty and are expected to pursue self-directed research in any scientific subfield.
