The Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Petrology, Volcanology (MGPV) Division of GSA requests nominations for the position of Second Vice Chair, to commence in October 2026. This position is the start of a 4-year service cycle that transitions into MGPV Vice Chair, Chair, and finally past-Chair. The primary duties of the Second Vice Chair include serving as the Chair of MGPV's Early Geologic Career Award Committee and assisting the Vice Chair with abstract and session organization for the annual Fall Connects meeting.
