Hi everyone,
I would like to advertise a funded PhD opportunity through the Geological survey of Canada (GSC) - the goal of the project is to try and trace gold fertility in Archean greenstone belts. The student will be based in Montreal at UQAM with me and will be co-supervised by Dr Jennifer Smith at the GSC (Ottawa).
The goal of the project would be to combine apatite and zircon geochemistry and geochronology to investigate the temporal and geochemical evolution of the sources of Archean plutons and their relationship with gold endowment. The student will obtain hands on experience performing geochemical and isotopic analyses as well as performing field work in the Superior Province of Canada.
More information about the opportunity and how to apply can be found here - https://emploisfp-psjobs.cfp-psc.gc.ca/psrs-srfp/applicant/page1800?toggleLanguage=en&poster=2462308
Please send this to any potential applicants.
Cheers
Josh
