Concord University is currently advertising an opening for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Geology. This is a full-time, one-year leave replacement position. We seek candidates with demonstrated ability in teaching undergraduate students.
Concord University is an ~1800 student, teaching-focused university located in a small-town setting in the mountains of southern West Virginia. The program in Environmental Geosciences offers a flexible, interdisciplinary major and is housed in a combined department of Physical and Environmental Sciences with a collegial and supportive work environment. Class sizes are modest, and active learning approaches are utilized throughout the curriculum. We regularly involve students in undergraduate research and have facilities and equipment to support that, including an electron microprobe laboratory.
