Dear All,

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences is hiring a Postdoctoral Teaching Associate for the 2025-2026 academic year in the broad field of Earth materials, with the opportunity for renewal in future years. This position will require teaching Mineralogy, Igneous & Metamorphic Petrology, and 3 additional undergraduate courses per year (such as physical geology, natural hazards, and other topics). Teaching postdoctoral positions have a strong teaching focus, offer doctoral graduates the opportunity to gain additional valuable teaching experience, and are a particularly good fit for those interested in career paths focused on undergraduate education.

I am not on the search committee but am sharing information about the position on behalf of the committee and the department. Applicants should consult the official posting for further application details: https://employment.unl.edu/postings/96524. Any inquiries about the position can be directed to Clint Rowe (crowe1@unl.edumailto:crowe1@unl.edu) or Erin Haacker (ehaacker2@unl.edumailto:ehaacker2@unl.edu).

Best wishes,
Lynne Elkins
