Dear colleagues,
Along with Bob Myhill, I have a PhD project available, focussing on multi-anvil experiments designed to study the behaviour of water in Earth's transition zone and upper mantle.
This is one of a number of projects competing for funding for a University of Bristol PhD Scholarship.
Please note that international students (i.e. those not resident in the UK) are welcome to apply.
You can find more details in the PDF document here: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/media-library/sites/earthsciences/documents/phd-projects/2024-start/UoB%20LORD%20Mantle%20metling%20and%20water%20cycle.pdf.
If you are interested then please contact me by email - we are willing to adapt the project depending on the applicants interest.
If you know of other undergraduates who might be interested, then please pass this message on.
All the best,
Oliver Lord
