Geochemistry tenure track and lecturer positions at University of New Mexico

The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS) at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Low-Temperature Geochemistry to begin August 10, 2026.  Applicants must have a PhD in Geochemistry, Geoscience, or a related field by date of appointment. For best consideration, all application materials must be received by December 22, 2025. See the ad for more info.

We are also hiring a full-time 9-month Lecturer III beginning August 10, 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses at all levels, develop and lead laboratory and/or field components of the curriculum, and contribute to teaching and assessing core curriculum requirements in Earth and Planetary Sciences. Teaching courses including lectures, labs, and/or field courses, develop and evaluate course materials and learning assessments, provide student mentorship, contribute to departmental service (including departmental committees and university program assessments), assist in maintaining, improving and assessing undergraduate learning outcomes, labs, and field instruction are also expectations of the position.
