Hello All, I am happy to relay the news that Taniece Thompson-Smith was just awarded the Teacher of the Year for the State of Texas! Next, she competes for the National Teacher of the Year award. [TASA Names 2024 Texas Teachers of the Year | Texas Association of School Administrators (tasanet.org)](https://tasanet.org/tasa-names-2024-texas-teachers-of-the-year/) For those who are not familiar with Taniece, she was one of the 2023 CMS Annual Meeting presenters in Austin, Texas. She presented on how bringing experiential learning into Elementary Schools has rapidly and dramatically improved science test scores, specifically within the geological sciences (and clay science!) sections.
