Hi folks,
I’m looking for graduate students next year for two funded projects.
The first is a Master’s project, determining Quartz-in-garnet pressures
from rocks from the Alps, New England Appalachians, and southern Chile.
This project does not require field work, but could include a trip to New
England.
The second is a PhD project, determining P-T-t paths from
ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rocks from northern India. This project
requires field work at elevations up to ~5000 m.
Anyone interested can contact me at either my Boise State email address (
mattkohn@boisestate.edu) or at mattkohn.on.travel@gmail.com. The Boise
State email will generate an autoresponse while I’m in Beijing for the next
month, but messages are being automatically forwarded.
For priority consideration, the university application deadline is January
3. The following webpage provides lots of useful information about applying:

(skip the first paragraph on undergraduate applications).
