Mineral and Gem Enthusiast Session in the MSA Annual Meeting in Tucson

Dear Mineralogists and Mineral Enthusiasts,

We are excited to announce a special session during the *MSA Annual Meeting
in Tucson, *https://msaweb.org/annualmeeting/ , aimed specifically at
sharing research results that are of interest to mineral and gem
enthusiasts as well as the scientific community. The session will be held
on Sunday, February 14 at the Tucson Convention Center on the last day of
the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show® (TGMS), https://www.tgms.org/show. This
session will be open to the public without registration so we anticipate a
lot of TGMS show attendees will join.

If you have research that would be of interest to rockhounders, mineral
collectors, and gem enthusiasts, we encourage you to submit an abstract to
the Mineral and Gem Enthusiast Session in the MSA Annual Meeting in
Tucson. The rest of the meeting will start on Monday, February 15 and will
require advanced registration.

Abstract submissions are now open at
https://msaweb.org/abstract-submissions/ . The deadline for submission is
October 31, 2026. To submit to he Mineral and Gem Enthusiast Session choose
this session under the Presentation preference* pulldown menu (this option
will be added to the website soon). Oral presentations are the only option
for this session. If you can only attend this session, and not the rest of
the MSA meeting, the registration fee will not be required.
