1.We are pleased to announce that Professor Andrew Campbell

Principal Investigator for our upcoming proposal in response to the NSF
solicitation on Synchrotron-based analytical capabilities advancing
Earth and Environmental Sciences research and training
https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2021/nsf21592/nsf21592.htm.Andy brings a
strong track record of leadership, management experience, science
advocacy and community service. The University of Chicago will serve as
the host institution for the new organization.

2.The deadline for facility proposals

for the new organization has been extended by 1 week until October 22,
2021
