Dear colleagues,

I apologize for cross-posting.

This is a friendly reminder that the deadline to submit abstracts for the GSA Annual Meeting is coming next week (June 18, 2024, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time USA). If you are attending the GSA Annual Meeting this September, please consider submitting an abstract to our session:
T176—Subduction Zones and their Volcanic Arcs: Initiation and Evolution, Structure, Metamorphism, Magmatism. Your contributions are highly valued, and we look forward to your participation.

We look forward to seeing you in Anaheim,

David Hernández Uribe (University of Illinois Chicago)

Jordan W. Wang (University of Arizona)

Paul Kapp (University of Arizona)

Robert Holder (University of Michigan)

T176—Subduction Zones and their Volcanic Arcs: Initiation and Evolution, Structure, Metamorphism, Magmatism

Invited speakers:

Sarah Penniston-Dorland (University of Maryland)

Steve Turner (University of Massachusetts Amherst)

Session description:

The session will cover a broad range of topics related to the evolution of subduction zones and the rock record of subduction with the goal of facilitating multidisciplinary discussion between petrologists, structural geologists, geochemists, geophysicists, and more. We welcome presentations using a variety of data sets from field, laboratory, or theoretical studies; cross-disciplinary contributions are especially encouraged.

Thanks,
David
