Dear colleagues,
We have planned an exciting session "Geological Melts and Fluids Across Scales: Properties, Processes, and Planetary Implications" at the upcoming IMA2026 conference, set to take place in Nanjing this August. Detailed information and the abstract submission portal can be accessed through the conference website: https://ima2026.nju.edu.cn/main.htm.
Invited Speaker:
Maria Luce Frezzotti (University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy)
Razvan Caracas (IPGP, France)
This session seeks to bring together mineralogists, petrologists, and geochemists working on natural, experimental, and computational aspects of melts and fluids. We aim to highlight new perspectives on how melts and fluids shape Earth and planetary processes, while fostering dialogue across field-based, experimental, and theoretical approaches.
If your ongoing research aligns with the thematic focus of our session, we would be honored to receive an abstract from you. The deadline for abstract submissions is May 5th.
Thank you for considering our session.
See you in Najing!
