Hi Everyone,
We have secured funding to offset domestic travel and registration costs
for U.S.-based researchers to our upcoming Goldschmidt RiMG workshop on
“Exoplanets: Compositions, Mineralogy, Evolution” (August 17-18, 2024,
related to RiMG v. 90). Interested attendees can apply for funding here:
https://forms.gle/F8QkqKuPhqCTsnow6
Please note that forms submitted by June 23 will receive full
consideration, and we expect to notify applicants by June 26, 2024. The
workshop registration deadline is July 1, 2024.
You can register for the Goldschmidt workshop here:
tinyurl.com/Goldschmidt24Exoplanets
(look for the “Registration” tab to the left, then, hit “Register now” in
the window to the right; in the registration sequence you will ultimately
see a list of workshops and can decide whether to register for workshops
only, or the entire meeting).
Our design is for vibrant discussions, with 20 min presentations followed
by 20-min Q&A. Registration is $260 for professionals and $210 for students
(2-day workshop for in-person participants only; deadline 28 June 2024).
Chapter titles and authors/speakers are as follows:
• Host Stars and How Their Compositions Influence Exoplanets (Hinkel,
Youngblood, & Soares-Furtado)
• Chemistry in Protoplanetary Disks (Zhang & Trapman)
• Planet Formation (Mordasini & Burn)
• Meteorites and Planetary Formation (Jones)
• The Evolution and Delivery of Rocky Extra-Solar Materials to White Dwarfs
(Veras, Mustill, & Bonsor)
• The Chemistry of Extra-Solar Materials from White Dwarf Planetary Systems
