Dear colleagues,
Happy New Year!
If you’re passionate about studying ancient rocks, we invite you to join us for our Early Earth session at EGU 2025 in beautiful Vienna!
We are thrilled to announce our session on unravelling the secrets preserved in the ancient rock record using both traditional and innovative analytical techniques. Together we aim to deepen our understanding of the Earth's evolution during the Archean and Proterozoic. We welcome contributions that provide new insights into the processes recorded in metamorphic and magmatic rocks.
We encourage submissions that integrate diverse approaches—structural and microstructural investigations, in-situ petrochronology, thermodynamic modeling and thermobarometry, geochemistry, geophysics, and geodynamic modeling—to help us to extract the maximum information from these ancient rocks.
Abstract submission is open until January 15, 2025.

Kind regards,
Dominik, Silvia and Thomas
