We are looking to recruit a grad student to study stable isotope
geochemistry in rocks (anything from granites to cherts) at the Western
Michigan University. Envisioned projects look at the evolution of
water-rock interaction through time and space with focus on the surface
conditions of early Earth. Please shoot me an email at
david.zakharov@wmich.edu if interested.
The preferred deadline is Feb 15, 2023.
More information about the departement and application can be found here:

Western Michigan University is also home to the Michigan Geological Survey,
so there's an opportunity to explore projects based on our own local
Precambrian geology.
