Dear colleagues,
Please consider submitting an abstract to session 6c at Goldschmidt 2021:
The phosphate mineral-fluid interface: a key player in life and planetary science
Keynote: Dr. Marta Corno (University of Torino)
Description: https://2021.goldschmidt.info/goldschmidt/2021/meetingapp.cgi/Session/1883 https://2021.goldschmidt.info/goldschmidt/2021/meetingapp.cgi/Session/1883
Fundamental studies, both computational and experimental, are welcome, as well as research focused on macroscopic aspects.
This includes studies on nucleation, dissolution-recrystallization and adsorption processes, and pertaining to contexts such as biomineralization, diagenesis, metasomatism, geochronology, and the global cycle of phosphorous. Presentations based on experimental research, on the development and application of theoretical methods and on computer simulations are welcome. As phosphate minerals do not necessarily nucleate directly as crystalline solids, this session also invites contributions dealing with amorphous phases and phosphate speciation.
The conference will be run in hybrid format to allow both remote and physical participation, see conference website for more details: https://2021.goldschmidt.info/goldschmidt/2021/meetingapp.cgi https://2021.goldschmidt.info/goldschmidt/2021/meetingapp.cgi
Abstract deadline: 26 February.
With Kindest Regards
The session conveners:
