Dear colleagues,
Prof. Dr. André Stesmans [KULeuven (Leuven University, Belgium), Dept of
Physics and Astronomy, Section Semiconductor Physics] is looking for small
samples of various chalcogenide species with variable trace element content
for research in the semiconductor field.
- Most wanted is molybdenite (that's the most easy one) from various
localities (and thus containing various levels of trace elements) and
- its dimorph jordisite.
- Tungstenite (WS2)
- Drysdalite [Mo(Se,S)2]
- and some species that have not been discovered so far in nature (as
far as I know): HfS2, HfSe2, WSe2. He knows about such species that are
commercially available, but if you have possibly a small sample of such
materials that you would be willing to share, that could help as a sample
with a different trace element fingerprint, which would be welcome too.
He needs samples of about 1 X 10 mm or larger.
If you would be so kind to share one or more samples of the mentioned
species you can contact me or directly Prof. Stesmans via his e-mail address
mailto:andre.stesmans@kuleuven.be andre.stesmans@kuleuven.be
For technical questions about the suitability of possible samples please
contact him directly.
If reactions are sent to the MSA-Talk list I will forward them, as he is not
a MSA-member.
Suggestions on the availability of the mentioned species are always welcome
too, of course.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and best regards,
Rik DILLEN
