Dear students,

Please join the GSA MGPV student reps on Thursday, May 15 at 1 pm ET for
a panel discussion about non-traditional careers. While many professionals
in our field pursue careers in academia, government, or industry, there are
numerous other paths worth exploring. This panel will highlight alternative
career options and provide insight into the diverse opportunities beyond
the traditional routes. There will be plenty of time for questions from
participants!

Our panelists all share backgrounds in MGPV-related fields:

Dr. Susan Leib, Curator of Collections at the University of Arizona Alfie
Norville Gem and Mineral Museum https://gemandmineralmuseum.arizona.edu/

Dr. Adriana Guatame-Garcia, Financial Officer and Co-Leader of Professional
Development Initiative with GeoLatinas
https://geolatinas.org/?ertthndxbcvs=yes

Dr. Josh Martin, the 2023-2024 GSA Science Policy Fellow
https://www.geosociety.org/GSA/GSA/Policy/policyFellow.aspx

This panel is open to anyone interested in learning more about these career
paths. Please feel free to share with anyone who may be interested.

Date: Thursday May 15
Time: 1 pm ET / 10 am PT
*Location: *Zoom (tinyurl.com/MGPVPanelMay12)

If you have any questions, please reach out!
