Dear MSA Colleagues,
I have some fun and exciting news to share with you. I hope it brightens
your day as it has mine.
I just learned that Every Rock Has A Story (2024) has been nominated for a
New England Regional EMMY Award in the Children/Youth Category
https://newenglandemmy.org/files/2025/04/2025-BNE-Nomination-List-Final.pdf.
This is our third nomination in a row (we were nominated for 2022 and 2023
as well)!
The 5 episodes that posted in 2024 rounded out Season Four of Every Rock
Has A Story. So - technically - this nomination is for Episodes #78-82
featuring Hanna Brooks https://youtu.be/hdgLXhILAeI, Nicole Fernandez
https://youtu.be/NWsxE2azGG0, Praveen Kumar https://youtu.be/7ppywvndH3Y,
Ali Salifu https://youtu.be/2sN8u8UVu_0, and Kathryn Goodenough
https://youtu.be/7xtNaS6x7BM.
Please help me share this free online educational resource! I am attaching
a poster graphic and an info packet PDF that you are free to share with
parents, teachers, kids, and everyone you know.
Thanks again to those of you who have expressed your support and praise for
this project. Given the shifting political sands in the United States, I
believe this work is more important than ever. I am proud of everything we
have done to inspire the next generation of geoscientists... and I hope to
continue in the future.
The EMMY Award ceremony is in Boston on June 7th. We havent won yet...
perhaps the third time's a charm.
Best
Ethan
