GSA MGPV Distinguished Geological Career Award - call for nominations (deadline March 31, 2024)

Please consider nominating a deserving colleague for GSA’s MGPV Distinguished Geological Career Award!

The Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Petrology and Volcanology (MGPV) Division of GSA presents an annual award for an individual who, throughout their career, has made distinguished contributions in one or more of the following fields of research: mineralogy, geochemistry, petrology, volcanology, with emphasis on multidisciplinary, field-based contributions.

Nominations for the Distinguished Geological Career Award https://community.geosociety.org/mgpvdivision/awards/dgca are open now through March 31, 2024. A list of past awardees and links to nomination criteria and instructions can be found on the MGPV webpage: https://community.geosociety.org/mgpvdivision/home https://community.geosociety.org/mgpvdivision/awards/dgca.

Nominations require one nomination cover letter, three letters of support, and the nominee's CV.

If you know a geoscientist who you believe deserves this honor, the MGPV Executive Committee encourages you to submit a nomination!
