Dear Colleagues,
We would like to bring your attention to the session "Microanalytical Approaches and Advancements" at the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society AOGS2021 Virtual 18th Annual Meeting to be held 1-6 August 2021. This session is intended to highlight the essential role of microanalytical techniques in understanding Earth processes, and also to bring together members of the microanalytical community in the greater Asia Oceania region and beyond. All contributions making use of micro or nanoanalytical techniques are welcomed.
The deadline for abstract submission to AOGS2021 is approaching fast - March 9th for Oceania, Asia, Africa, and Europe or March 8th in the Americas (due to the time difference).
Please see the link and session description below.
Best regards,
Jason & Derek

SE08 - Microanalytical Approaches and Advancements
Laboratory based micro- and nanoanalytical techniques allow geoscientists to interrogate terrestrial and planetary materials at ever smaller spatial scales. However, technological advancements bring both new capabilities and new challenges. We invite abstracts featuring novel microanalytical approaches, use of emerging techniques, or new types of instrumentation, as well as geochemical or geochronological investigations with a significant microanalysis component. Presentations highlighting unresolved challenges or describing innovative methodology are encouraged. Targeted techniques include but are not limited to EPMA, TEM, APT, SIMS, FTIR, and LAICPMS.
