Dear DMG and MSA Members, it is with great sadness that I have to notify you that Prof. Dr. Irmgard Abs-Wurmbach passed away peacefully on April 8th 2020. She was with Michael Abs, her husband, in their new home in Strausberg near Berlin and did not suffer. Due to the current crisis it is not yet clear when the funeral will be - most properly in May. She was a great scientist, enthusiastic teacher and friend.
