I am recruiting a M.S. student starting in Fall 2025 on a research project
related to volcanology and geochemistry. The student will have a choice of
several projects focused on magma formation and storage conditions using
major/trace elements, mineral chemistry, thermobarometry, radiogenic
isotopes as tracers of magmatic processes, and/or geochronology. Projects
will be based in southern New Mexico and the balance of field- and
lab-based work can be tailored based on the interests of the student.
Teaching assistantship (TA) funding is available. More information can be
found at https://jthines1.wordpress.com/
