Application deadline is April 22nd.

Dear all,

I am advertising two postdoctoral positions in experimental high-pressure mineral physics research at the University of Oxford.

The application deadline is April 22nd (noon).

Both positions are part of the ERC Consolidator Grant DEEP-MAPS, focusing on measuring the physical properties and seismic signature of lower mantle minerals across phase/spin transitions.

One of the positions (2 years, with the possibility of extension by further 3 years) will focus on about using synchrotron-based time-resolved synchrotron XRD in dynamic diamond-anvil cells, whereas the other will be about employing laboratory Brillouin Spectroscopy in DACs (3 years fixed-term). A close interaction between the two postdocs, as well as three associated PhD students, is envisaged.

Some more details on the posts and the application procedure are available here:

https://www.earth.ox.ac.uk/vacancies/

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions on the positions, the science or the application procedure.

If you would like to apply, pleased consider applying for both posts (we are not able to move candidates between the posts if they have not applied for both).

Please also forward this email to anyone who might be interested!

Best wishes,
Hauke
