The Department of Geoscienceshttps://www.nrm.se/en/forskningochsamlingar/geovetenskap.9000582.html at the Swedish Museum of Natural History is seeking a manager for the TIMS lab. The position is full time and permanent, and can include up to 30% time allocation for the successful candidate's own research.
The TIMS lab is part of the NordSIMS-Vegacenter national research facility co-funded by the Swedish Research Council and the museum; this includes a full suite of mass spectrometry instrumentation (SIMShttps://www.nrm.se/en/forskningochsamlingar/geovetenskap/nordsim.904.html, (LA)-(MC & HR)-ICPMShttps://www.nrm.se/en/forskningochsamlingar/geovetenskap/vegacentret.8999657.html) plus supporting infrastructure (SEM, clean lab for wet chemistry including dedicated technical staff, and sample preparation facilities). The department also curates one of the largest mineralogical collections in Europe, with ancillary mineralogical labs (FTIR and Mössbauer spectrometer, spectrophotometer, powder X-ray diffractometer).
