Job description - Postdoctoral position in experimental thermochemistry of high temperature ceramics,  melts, glasses, functional materials,  minerals . Using specialized  high temperature  calorimetric techniques, determine enthalpies of formation and phase transition in materials, and analyze data in terms of structures, phase equilibria , and properties . Perform necessary synthesis and characterization, analyze data, and prepare  papers for publication. Work in a dynamic research group with a world reputation in thermodynamics and linked to a new Center for Materials of the Universehttps://materials.asu.edu/Motu .

Requirements - A PhD in materials science, chemistry, physics, geoscience or related field. Good knowledge of fundamental thermodynamics and quantitative thinking and data analysis  and strong background in experimental high temperature chemistry. Experience in Xray diffraction and phase diagram analysis via Calphad and other approaches highly desirable . Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
