Dear All: As we discussed at Council, please provide nominations for : Bradley Prize (best paper- first and second) Great Dane (best informal communication; note that there have only been two so far other than announcements) Sleeping Bear (best unrehearsed, spontaneous humor I have received from one individual nominations for best paper, along with a Sleeping Bear nomination. We’ve had few candidates for either the Bradley Prize or the Sleeping Bear; as we discussed at Council, no nominations need to be provided if you don’t feel that an award should be given. I will compile the results, and then share them with Nick, Carl-Henry, Callan, and Odette, and collectively these four and myself will constitute the Awards committee. The final result needs to be given to Tim Mock before December 1 to get the silver award bowl engraved in time for the December 7 meeting. In order to give enough time to the Awards committee, can I please get the nominations one week from today- COB Thursday, November 17. All meeting minutes for the 2016 GSW meetings have now been posted on the web in either approved or draft form, so we should be able to review the speakers and presentations from these documents.
