MSA will have its Awards Lunch, MSA Presidential Address, Joint Reception among MSA, GS, and GSA’s MGPV (Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Petrology, and Volcanology) Division, Annual Business Meeting, as well as the Council Meeting, and breakfasts for the Past Presidents and Associate Editors. The exhibit hall will be open Sunday (2-7 pm). Mon-Tues (10 am-6:30 pm), and Wed (10 am-2 pm). The MSA Awards Lunch is Tuesday, 6 November 2018 at which the Roebling Medal will be presented to E. Bruce Watson (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York), the Dana Medal to Joerg Hermann (Australian National University, Canberra), ACT, and the MSA Award to Laura Nielsen Lammers (University of California, Berkeley, CA). 2017-2018 MSA Distinguished Lecturers will also be recognized: Zachary D. Sharp, Clara S. Chan, and Jon Blundy. The MSA Awards Lectures, Annual Business Meeting, and Presidential Address session are Tuesday, 6 November 2018: Joerg Hermann gives the Dana Medal Lecture at 3:00 pm; Bruce Watson gives the Roebling Lecture at 3:40 pm; Michael Brown gives his MSA Presidential Address at 4:20 pm. The MSA Annual Business Meeting follows at 5:00 pm. The MSA/GS/MGPV Joint Reception follows at 5:45 PM-7:30 pm.
