Dear All,

NASA's Prebiotic Chemistry and Earth Early Earth Environment's (PCE3) has been hosting a seminar series that is aimed at bringing together scientists from different disciplines to study the origin of life. The theme of tomorrow's talks (June 9, 10-11:30 am Eastern Time) will be "Mineral Evolution and the Role of Minerals in Prebiotic Chemistry" - due to the topic, some of you here may be interested.

The speakers and talk titles are:

Shaunna Morrison - Carnegie Institution for Science "Mineral Informatics: A mineralogist's perspective"

Anirudh Prabhu - Carnegie Institution for Science "Mineral Informatics: A data scientist's perspective"

Micah Schaible - Georgia Institute for Technology "Mineral surfaces as sites for prebiotic chemistry: CaCO3 catalysis of uridine phosphorylation"

You can learn more about the speakers here, and register for the seminar using this link.

Cheers,

James Eguchi
