minerals and resources, mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, geophysics or
geobiology. The appointee will be expected to develop and maintain an
active, externally funded research program that will involve both graduate
and undergraduate students, and to participate fully in teaching at all

wide range of analytical, experimental, and computing facilities, including
electron probe micro-analyzer, scanning electron microscope,
FTIR-spectroscopy, and plasma, thermal ionization, and gas-source mass
spectrometers. We particularly encourage applications from those who
integrate across traditional disciplinary boundaries within the Department (
