Dear Colleagues:

The Mineralogical Society of America seeks nominations for the 2022 Mineralogical Society of America Award, due June 1, 2021.
The MSA Award is intended to recognize outstanding published contributions to the science of mineralogy by relatively young individuals or individuals near the beginning of their professional careers. Mineralogy is broadly defined in this context, and the candidate need not qualify as a mineralogist. The candidate's published record should be related to the mineralogical sciences and should make one or more outstanding contributions to them. The work must have been accomplished either: (1) before reaching the age of 35 or (2) within 7 years of the awarding of the terminal degree.
If you know of someone who received their terminal degree on or after January 1, 2014 or whose birth date is on or after January 1, 1985 whose scientific contributions should be recognized by this award, please consider organizing a nomination on their behalf.
The deadline for nominations is June 1, 2021. Earlier submissions are appreciated.
A full description of the award, directions for submitting a nomination, and a list of previous recipients can be found at: http://www.minsocam.org/MSA/Awards/MSA_Award.html
