Dear colleagues,
I am writing to ask whether anyone might have a Frantz magnetic separator that is no longer being used and could be donated or sold second-hand.
We are currently looking to set up our mineral-separation facilities at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. A Frantz separator would be extremely valuable for both research and student training, but purchasing a new instrument is currently beyond our available budget.
If your department or laboratory has an older unit available (even one requiring minor repairs or refurbishment), we would be very interested in hearing from you. We would, of course, cover the logistics and costs of shipping it to Chile.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you know of any potential leads.
Many thanks in advance,
--
