Hello mineralogists,
I am making decisions about a new petrographic scope for my research lab,
and I'm curious if anyone close to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MN) area has
a Zeiss Axioscope. My department has almost exclusively Nikon scopes right
now, and I would love to actually sit down at a different one before
shelling out $$ one way or the other.
*If anyone has a Zeiss polarizing scope (or knows of one) you'd be
willing to show off for a half hour in the near future, please get in
touch! *
(Also if you have strong opinions about the quality of various scopes, I'm
all ears... but I know this is a conversation that pops up on here
frequently so I don't want to bore anyone).
Cheers,
Emily
