Dear colleagues,

We are looking to hire a lab technician position within the Stable Isotope Research Facility (SIRF) at Indiana University Bloomington. The position will help with day-to-day sample preparation, analyses, repair, and user training, among other duties. SIRF houses an extensive collection of mass spectrometers, including IRMS, ICPMS, and MC-ICPMS and focuses on stable isotope analyses of H, C, O, N, S, and heavy metals. The types of research questions that SIRF helps to address are wide-ranging, which keeps the job interesting and exciting. While previous experience within laboratory research settings is expected, there will be training and direct meetings with myself, other PIs, and lab staff to bring the candidate up to speed over time. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and the position will remain open until filled.

This position is a hard money position and more information can be found using the links below. Bloomington itself is a beautiful place to live with a great food, arts, and music scene. It has a college town feel while being in close proximity to several larger cities (Indianapolis, Louisville, Chicago, St. Louis) and having ample opportunities to get outdoors. Please pass this on to any potentially interested colleagues - if there are any questions, you can reach out to me directly (shtrader@iu.edumailto:shtrader@iu.edu).

Directions on how to apply:

  1. Non-IU employees should click on the first link below to access the careers site; current IU employees should click on the second link below.
