Assistant Professor in Geological Sciences - Earth and Planetary Remote Sensing
The Department of Geological Scienceshttps://geology.ufl.edu/ at the University of Florida invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Remote Sensing of Earth and Planetary Systems with an expected start date of August 16, 2027. Advanced remotely-sensed geophysical data (e.g., gravity, laser, radar, GNSS, magnetic, imaging spectroscopy, imaging/stereo imaging) collected with ground-, air-, and space-based sensors are essential to studies of terrestrial and/or planetary processes and properties. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor students for M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, and conduct a dynamic, externally funded research program in an area of Remote Sensing of Earth and/or Planetary Systems.

Additionally, the UF Astraeus Space Institute https://astraeus.ufl.edu/ supports and connects researchers in space science across the state. Astraeus also offers access to an on-campus Missions Operations Center for supporting in-space activities and missions.
