MSA’s 2026 Social Media Campaign kicks off today

AK
Andrea Koziol
Fri, Jan 30, 2026 7:45 PM

Organized by the MSA Communications Committee, this campaign now enters its
second year. The campaign will feature posts on minerals, petrology,
careers paths in mineralogy, and more to increase knowledge and interest in
mineralogy and related fields.  Posting will be on Mondays, every week.
Thank you to those people who have already contributed!

Check these posts out on Facebook and other social media platforms:

Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064525667186

Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/minsocam/

Bluesky:  @mineralsocamerica.bsky.social

LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/mineralogical-society-of-america/

But we need your help, and your contributions.  You may feature your
research, a favorite mineral, a student project, a recent publication, a
career option in mineralogy, etc.  Submit photo(s) too!  The committee will
(very) lightly edit your post, add appropriate #hashtags, and line it up
for publishing.

If you wish, you may submit your posts (about 300 words long and images) to
our google form at:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSchicZymxWJmmBE5aaQHEHE3VV1N3oqzl2jqtVY1q4saoCdQA/viewform

Or submit directly to Andrea Koziol at Akoziol1@udayton.edu.

In December 2026, we will look at which post has been the most popular (as
measured by likes and upvotes) and will reward its author with a free RIMG
volume of their choice!
