This message is being sent on behalf of John Wheeler
from the University of Liverpool.
John is looking for a sample of pure, natural albite
that he can use in experiments (Amelia albite, Pala,
Hale, etc.). If anyone has a sample that they are
willing to provide for an experiment please respond to
John directly - details below.

Dear John Wheeler,
I might have just what you need: 99.5 ± 0.2% albite. See attached paper. It’s a microanalytical reference material, yet I have some raw material (i.e. big crystal pocket potentially with some quartz crystals), if you are ready to process it. I have also some mineral separate readily available providing you don’t need too much (a few grams?).
Best,
Julien Allaz

Hi Robert and John and all,
You may be able to obtain some specimens from museum collections. One
contact would be Aaron Celestian (acelestian@nhm.org), the Curator of
Mineral Sciences at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum. More local
curators such as Mike Rumsey (michr@nhm.ac.uk) at the London Natural
History Museum may be easier.
Sincerely,
Brian Gulick
