The Paul Pellas - Graham Ryder Award for best student paper in planetary
science published in 2017 is jointly sponsored by the Planetary Geology
Division of the Geological Society of America. Potential topics are listed
on the cover of Meteoritics & Planetary Science

Asteroids, Comets, Craters, Interplanetary Dust, Interstellar Medium, Lunar
Samples, Meteors, Meteorites, Natural Satellites, Planets, Tektites, Origin
and History of the Solar System. The award has been given since 2001, and
honours the memories of meteoriticist Paul Pellas and lunar scientist

Nominations should include:
· the full citation,
· a brief description of the paper's significance,
· a letter from the department head verifying that the first author was a
registered student when the paper was submitted, and
· a letter from the student's advisor describing what portion of the work
was done by the student.
