Dear colleagues,

The abstract deadline is approaching thisThursday (February 26, 2026,
23:59 ET / UTC−5)
, we would like to invite you to submit an abstract to
Goldschmidt 2026 for Session 02e: Understanding the Deep Earth through
the Elastic and Transport Properties of Its Constituent Materials.

This session highlights recent experimental and theoretical advances in
the elastic and transport properties of mantle and core minerals and
melts, and how these results integrate with geophysical observations to
improve models of Earth and planetary interior structure, dynamics, and
evolution.

We welcome contributions on elasticity and transport properties (e.g.,
electrical/thermal conductivity, diffusivity, viscosity) of deep Earth
and planetary materials.

Session details:

*Keynote speaker: *Prof. Jin Zhang (Texas A&M University)
Invited speaker: Prof. Wen-Pin Hsieh (Academia Sinica)

We look forward to seeing you in Montréal, Canada, July 12–17.

Best regards,
